We are all the same

Because we're all human, we are all selfish in some way. As a living creature I do not want to give up my happiness in the name of greater good for society or something. And I am saying it as a person who doesn't care about religion/races/sexuality or ideals, I have both very religious christians and atheists as friends, and I do not think a person with other skin colour is different than me. I tolerate all the quirks and eccentricities of people in my surroundings, but that still doesn't change the fact that sometimes I will run into a person who is downright infuriating with their lack of respect to anyone and anything, for no particular reason [maybe aside of potentially low IQ and high level of whatever hormone evoke agression] and I'm not going to give up my personal comfort so they can be happy too.

This is just how the world works. No matter how peaceful and tolerant person you are, there will be always some wicked people whose only purpose on the earth is to aggravate rest of society [I would even say cruel thing - If human rights weren't cutting down the process of natural selection among people, there are many individuals who would be killed off for the sake of peace]

People are rised in different cultures, and we can't help our instinct to fear and dislike the unknown. Maybe if we started teaching our children about all cultures and ideologies they wouldn't give strange looks to people who does not act like majority, but even then we would take a great risk of our kids taking the most selfish and comfortable of these ideologies because they don't have a stable moral code yet

So we cannot help naturally short-tempered people, negatively selfish ones, religious people whose religion tells them to eliminate unbelievers, as much as we cannot help male lions eating cubs because they want to mate with lionesses. Nature made us all the same, selfish and somewhat cruel in our selfishness. And it's not only us, every creature on the earth fights, also fights their own species, so they can have more for themselves as individuals. We are not meant to have sacred peace on the earth.

The sooner we accept that we were never meant to live in perfect society, the sooner we will become more forgiving and tolerant to others, because whatever they did to hurt us, they did to make themselves happier, so they had exactly the same motive as we had, while fighting them to not let them take things which are important to us.
